Make Mist Form not suck
Yet another of the endless list of shitty elites that Elementalists have to live with.
Shadow Form, 5 - 21 seconds, All spells targetted against you fail, all attacks miss. When it ends you lose all but x health.
Mist Form, 5 - 21 seconds, you cannot deal damage from attacks and cannot take damage from attacks.
Shadow Form, near complete invunerabilty from everything but specific skills and traps for 21 + 20% seconds. Nothing can touch you.
Mist Form, spells still tear you apart, the spell can be shattered within 1/4 second of you casting it. All attacks against you deal 0 damage but yet all attacks against you can still:
1. Interrupt
2. Inflict Conditions
3. Interrupt due to Dazed
4. Knockdown
Can this elite at least be made into 'all your attacks miss and all attacks against you miss'? This elite is so bad in comparison to Shadow Form its unbelievable. What use is having all attacks against you deal 0 damage when you still get torn to shreds by knockdowns and conditions?

I used to love mist form when griffon farming. Yes, that aspect of the game has changed, but the same principle can be applied to other melee mobs. With an enchant mod, you can have mist form on for ~25 sec. With a 30 sec. recharge, that means you only have to cover 5 sec. of taking real attacks. Timed right with a blind = all the protection you should need against melee mobs.
A HUGE difference with Shadow form is the health loss. That alone shows that the 2 skills are supposed to have different uses. Since shadow form will leave you in a very tight spot when it runs out, it's supposed to be used for running or short spurts of fighting. Then you have to be out of the fray, or ready to counter your low health if you don't want to bite the dust. IMO, mist form is meant for more of a in-your-face, sustained fighting. No, it's not as good of protection as Shadow form, but the fact that it can allow almost constant protection from attacks is definitely useful.

The huge advantage with Shadow Form is your CANNOT BE HIT. Mist Form doesn't do anything. It stops the damage but no effects. Unless everything your fighting has no interrupts, conditions and knockdowns then your fine, but where in factions does that happen? 25seconds of near invunerability followed by a swift running off is alot better than the crap that Mist Form is. It sucked to begin with, now with Shadow Form around its just pathetic,

Shadow Form still take damage from AoE and touch skills. I tried making use of this skill and I can tell you its no where as good as it sounds. Most mob in PvE has some sort of AoE spell and enough people in PvP birngs touch spells to make it not really worth an elite spot.
With mist form, conditon still gets to you, but at least you woudln't face massive health lost at the end. Its not like you will get knockdown or interrupted continously (even if you do, you woudln't take additional damage when you are down) and most other conditions can be easily removed.

I would say it should cause all attacks to miss and all of your attacks miss instead of not taking any damage, as said above, melee attacks still cause a variety of effects which can be very determental.
But there is the notable difference that Shadow Form nearly kills you after it expires, whereas Mist Form trades your useless attack for attack negating, and Shadow Form is on Assassin, the most defenseless class in the game.
Conditions are not easily removed, I can vouch for that, Elementist builds leave no spare room for utility skills, it usually takes 2 energy management skills just to keep your energy kosher, with rez and some sort of healing, as well as some very long recast spells, your down to only a few general attack spells, conditions are almost always going to be handled by someone else unless you have some sort of solo self sustaining build, you certainly arn't covering conditions with your elementist.

yeah touch skills are kinda annoying, they do dmg but rnt considered an attack (shock etc) so shadow form is still misleading for what you expect from it (being invicible to anything).
you'd think if you were the form of darkness (shadow) or mist (vapor) you wouldnt set off a trap, or be able to be touched?.... come on now. can u say broken?

Well here is an idea for it
Mist form - 10e 1c 30r
For 2-12 seconds you have +40 armor and can pass threw players. Mist form ends when you attack.
OR
same as old but add - you cannot be KD-ed. :P

Probably you will be KD-ed and moved backwards to free spot (this will introduce a 'whole new level of stuck')

Of course hardly any build is fully self sustaining. But condition management is faced by every class and build. Claiming lack of spare room is not really an excuse. Depending on the condtion, it can seriously affect the effectiveness of a build and its up to the player to choose to deal with it themselves or hope the monk will get rid of it.

mist form is one of the countless useless skills in the game
because of that, gw is becoming more and more like diablo2
im sorry if i offended someone by saying this... but its a fact
unless some changes are made, it WILL become a diablo2
presuming noone wants that, how about some rebalancing?
if you are not adding anything new at pve, nothing new at pvp, you could AT LEAST rework the skills... like Unyelding Aura... its absolutely the most useless skill i have ever seen in a game, i would prefer to use Echo and Mending then to use this skill

Well Unyielding Aura did have 1 use... it allowed pricks from the opposing side to go into the other teams Fort Aspenwood/Jade Quarry and make them perma-dead.
Mist Form has 1 use too.... it lets the ele run from Beacons ---> Droknars... oh and get constantly knocked down by the Tundra Giants if you don't have Balanced Stance up even though they don't hit you.
Perhaps we need skill synergies... if you bring Thunderclap, you suddenly turn into a Mursaat Ele and become a limitless source of energy.

You guys must be thinking more of PvP, because I have no ploblems with Mist Form. Sure, you get conditions and knockdown, thats part of the price you pay for near-invunerability. My guess is, alot of people want it so only 1 skill is needed... Invunerable Pwnzorator! 5e 1/4c 0r Kills all mobs in radar range, gain +5 energy +1 energy for each killed mob, makes character invunerable to all forms of attacks until logged out, and makes any carried weapons/items maxed abilities, non-specific to any profession.
Nothings wrong with Mist Form, just have to use it properly, similar to someone not using water magic against Ice Golems. If you want to solo, you need to find a self suffecient build, not expect to be able to use whatever skills you want.
